PUNISHING HIM AND MADE HIM TO SUFFER WHY ???

We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him!.

Based on Isaiah 53 New century version (NCV)

Jesus The Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world!

(1).Jesus was Hated and rejected by people (1-3).
1. Who would have believed what we heard? Who saw the Lord’s power in this?
He grew up like a small plant before the Lord, like a root growing in a dry land. He had no special beauty or form to make us notice him; there was nothing in his appearance to make us desire him.
He was hated and rejected by people.
He had much pain and suffering. People would not even look at him. He was hated, and we didn't even notice him.

(2).Jesus took on our suffering on Him and felt our pain for us. (vs-4).
But he took our suffering on him
and felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him.

(3).Jesus was wounded, crushed, punished so we would be healed. (vs-5).

But he was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did.
The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds.

(4).Jesus was beaten down and punished but He did not say a word.(vs-6).

We all have wandered away like sheep;
each of us has gone his own way.
But the Lord has put on him the punishment for all the evil we have done.
He was beaten down and punished,
but he didn't say a word.

(5).Jesus was like a lamb being led to be killed He never opened his mouth.(vs7b).

He was like a lamb being led to be killed.
    He was quiet, as a sheep is quiet while its wool is being cut;
    he never opened his mouth.

(6).Jesus was put to death; punished for the sins of all mankind. (vs. 8).

Men took him away roughly and unfairly. He died without children to continue his family. He was put to death; he was punished for the sins of my people.

(7).Jesus was buried, he had done nothing wrong, He had never lied.(vs.9).
He was buried with wicked men,
and he died with the rich.
He had done nothing wrong,
    and he had never lied.
(8).The Lord who decided (not the people) to crush Jesus and made Him suffer. (10a).

10 But it was the Lord who decided
to crush him and make him suffer.

(9).The Lord who decided to make Jesus life a penalty (only acceptable) offering. (10b).
The Lord made his life a penalty offering,
but he will still see his descendants and live a long life.

(10).Jesus will complete the things the Lord wants Him to do (10b).
He will complete the things   the Lord wants him to do.

(11). Jesus will see life (live again) and be satisfied. (11a).

11 “After his soul suffers many things,
he will see life and be satisfied.

(12). Jesus will make many people (all who believes in Him) right with God. Why?(11b).
My good servant will make many people right with God; he will carry away their sins.

(13). Jesus is the greatest and most forgiving person that ever lived, none before Him, none beside Him, and none will ever be after Him! (vs-12).
12 For this reason I will make him a great man among people, and he will share in all things with those who are strong.
He willingly gave his life and was treated like a criminal. But he carried away the sins of many people and asked forgiveness for those who sinned.

In closing: We saw Jesus suffering and thought God was punishing him.But he was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did.
The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds.

All the glory be to God!

If you believe it please say this prayer out loud and mean it from your heart:

“Lord Jesus I need you! Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life, make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen”

WHO DOES THE ULTIMATE POWER BELONGS TO?

Power belongs to God not man!
(Jonah 1:1-2; 3:1-10; 4:11).

Assyria and its capitol Nineveh: It is said, “the Assyrians had a brutal and oppressive reputation”.

Modern day Nineveh: who are they and where can they be found? What are some of the things they are doing to cause harm to others / the innocent?

If God is warning them are they listening and will they repent by turning away from evil and stop causing harm to others? The bible says, “People should cry loudly to God. Everyone must turn away from evil living and stop doing harm all the time”. (Jonah 3:8b).

When I was a boy growing up, some Politicians used to come into our village around election time, with their loud speakers blaring power! power! power! However, on one occasion an elderly lady standing on the side of the road from the crowd shouted out, “Power belongs to God! Only God has power”!

I never forgot that.  You realize more and more that no matter how powerful a person or a country may become, God has the ultimate power to determine his purpose here on earth! You agree with me?

When we take a look at the world stage today, we can’t help but see, some political leaders, and countries who are taking center stage, For example, the current crisis in Eastern Europe.  Well, one might say, that’s the way the world goes. However, I wish for you to take a closer look with me at the city of Nineveh Mentioned in the Holy bible.

1.-Nineveh was built by a very powerful man whose name was Nimrod.
(Genesis 10: 8-11) Cush also had a descendant named Nimrod, who became a very powerful man on earth. He was a great hunter before the Lord, which is why people say someone is “like Nimrod, a great hunter before the Lord.” 10 At first Nimrod’s kingdom covered Babylon, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh in the land of Babylonia. 11 From there he went to Assyria, where he built the cities of Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, and Calah.
2. Nineveh was a very great city but  the people were very wicked.
(Jonah 1:1-2) (NCV)
The Lord spoke his word to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up, go to the great city of Nineveh, and preach against it, because I see the evil things they do.”

3. Nineveh was on God’s time table to be destroyed so He made sure to send Jonah the preacher to warned them.

(Jonah 3:1-4) (NCV) God Calls and Jonah Obeys

1.The Lord spoke his word to Jonah again and said, “Get up, go to the great city Nineveh, and preach to it what I tell you to say.”
So Jonah obeyed the Lord and got up and went to Nineveh. It was a very large city; just to walk across it took a person three days. After Jonah had entered the city and walked for one day, he preached to the people, saying, “After forty days, Nineveh will be destroyed!”
4. The people of Nineveh believed God because they knew God had all the power to destroy their city with them in it .
(Jonah 3:5a) 5. The people of Nineveh believed God.

5. The people of Nineveh (both important and none important ones alike) announced a fast to seek God’s mercy at such a time.
(Jonah 3: 5-) 5.The people of Nineveh believed God. They announced that they would fast for a while, and they put on rough cloth to show their sadness. All the people in the city did this, from the most important to the least important.

6. -Nineveh had a king / government leader who had a listening ear for warning from God.    (Jonah 3:6).
When the king of Nineveh heard this news, he got up from his throne, took off his robe, and covered himself with rough cloth and sat in ashes to show how upset he was.

7. Nineveah’s king at the time was well aware of the great power of the Almighty God of heaven and earth and took actions to save himself and his nation from the anger of God.
He sent this announcement through Nineveh:By command of the king and his important men: No person or animal, herd or flock, will be allowed to taste anything. Do not let them eat food or drink water.
8. Nineveh’s. King was also aware that the people were evil and causing harm to others. So now he decreed that everyone should repent so they will not die. (vs-8-9).
But every person and animal should be covered with rough cloth, and people should cry loudly to God.
Everyone must turn away from evil living and stop doing harm all the time. Who knows? Maybe God will change his mind. Maybe he will stop being angry, and then we will not die.

9. Nineveh its king and people were given extended mercy from God after He saw what they did.
(Jonah 3:10). 10 When God saw what the people did, that they stopped doing evil, he changed his mind and did not do what he had warned. He did not punish them.

10. The people of Nineveh did not know better therefore, God showed His concern for them at the time.
(Jonah 4:11) Then shouldn’t I show concern for the great city Nineveh, which has more than one hundred twenty thousand people who do not know right from wrong, and many animals, too?”

In Closing: Power belongs to God! God does not want to punish us but wants us to repent by turning away from evil living and stop causing harm all the time!
Think! Think! and think again! Repent and smile!!!

God will extend His mercy to you as He did for Nineveh its King and its people and will not destroy you and your city Nineveh!

Say this prayer out loud and mean it from your heart: “Lord Jesus I need you! Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life, make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen”

WHERE CAN WISDOM BE FOUND?

WHERE CAN WISDOM BE FOUND?

According to Job 28:1-28. New Century Version (NCV)

(1). Wisdom cannot be found in mines where people dig into rocks for gold and silver and where gold is made pure by fire. (I-6).
1. “There are mines where people dig silver
and places where gold is made pure.
Iron is taken from the ground,
and copper is melted out of rocks.
Miners bring lights
and search deep into the mines
    for ore in thick darkness.
Miners dig a tunnel far from where people live,
    where no one has ever walked;
they work far from people, swinging and swaying from ropes.
Food grows on top of the earth,
but below ground things are changed as if by fire.
Sapphires are found in rocks,
and gold dust is also found there.

(2).The Hawk,Falcons, proud animals and lions don't know the path to wisdom.(7-8).
No hawk knows that path;
the falcon has not seen it.
Proud animals have not walked there,
and no lions cross over it.

(3). Wisdom is not found UNDER the bottom of the mountains where all kinds of hidden treasures are seen. (9-11).
Miners hit the rocks of flint
and dig away at the bottom of the mountains.
10 They cut tunnels through the rock
and see all the treasures there.
11 They search for places where rivers begin
and bring things hidden out into the light.

(4).  Wisdom and understanding cannot be found among those who are alive. (12-13).

12 “But where can wisdom be found,
    and where does understanding live?
13 People do not understand the value of wisdom;
it cannot be found among those who are alive.

(5)wisdom cannot be found in the deep ocean neither anywhere in the sea. (14).
14 The deep ocean says, ‘It’s not in me;’
the sea says, ‘It’s not in me'.

(6)wisdom cannot be bought with gold or silver. (15).
15 Wisdom cannot be bought with gold,
and its cost cannot be weighed in silver.

(7)wisdom cannot be bought with fine gold, silver, valuable onyx or sapphire gems. (15-16).
16 Wisdom cannot be bought with fine gold
or with valuable onyx or sapphire gems.

(8).wisdom cannot be bought with crystal, jewels of gold,  coral, jasper, rubies, topaz, onyx or sapphire and cannot be compared to its value. (17-19).
17 Gold and crystal are not as valuable as wisdom,
and you cannot buy it with jewels of gold.
18 Coral and jasper are not worth talking about,
and the price of wisdom is much greater than rubies.
19 The topaz from Cush cannot compare to wisdom;
it cannot be bought with the purest gold.

(9)wisdom comes from somewhere and understanding lives someplace, yet hidden from the eyes of every living thing including the birds of the air.(20-24).
20 “So where does wisdom come from,
    and where does understanding live?
21 It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing,
even from the birds of the air.
22 The places of destruction and death say,
‘We have heard reports about it.’
23 Only God understands the way to wisdom,
and he alone knows where it lives,
24 because he looks to the farthest parts of the earth
and sees everything under the sky.

(10).wisdom is active in the power of the wind, measure of the water, rules for the rain, setting path for thunderstorms to follow, has a worth, has been set up and tested.(25-27).
25 When God gave power to the wind
   an measured the water,
26 when he made rules for the rain
and set a path for a thunderstorm to follow,
27 then he looked at wisdom and decided its worth;
he set wisdom up and tested it.

(11)wisdom is to "fear God" and understanding is "to shun evil".(28).
28 Then he said to humans,
    ‘The fear of the Lord is wisdom;
to stay away from evil is understanding.’”

IN CLOSING: Wisdom can only be found in fearing the Lord!

Dear God, I pray in Jesus Name, that every reader who reads this Article begin to fear God. Amen!

Say this prayer out loud and mean it from your heart!
“Lord Jesus I need you! Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life, make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen”
