WHAT DOES HAVING CONFIDENCE IN GOD MEANS TO A BELIEVER ?

Speaking of confidence, Norman Vincent Peale wrote, “The light of God surrounds me. The Love of God enfolds me. The power of God protects me. The presence of God watches over me. Wherever I am God is!”

To further illustrate the confidence we all should have in God, The bible says the following:

(1). Proverbs 3:21-26 New Century Version (NCV)

²¹ My child, hold on to wisdom and good sense.     Don’t let them out of your sight. ²² They will give you life and beauty like a necklace around your neck.
²³ Then you will go your way in safety,     and you will not get hurt.
²⁴ When you lie down, you won’t be afraid; when you lie down, you will sleep in peace. ²⁵ You won’t be afraid of sudden trouble;     you won’t fear the ruin that comes to the wicked, ²⁶ because the Lord will keep you safe.
    He will keep you from being trapped.

(2). Hebrews 4:14-16 New Century Version (NCV)

Jesus Is Our High Priest ¹⁴ Since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone into heaven, let us hold on to the faith we have. ¹⁵ For our high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. ¹⁶ Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.

³⁵ So do not lose the courage you had in the past, which has a great reward. ³⁶ You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what he has promised.
