It is an asset to all of our people who find time to use it.
The bridge is a link to get you to many
places quicker than before it came into existence.
The bridge is a landmark that will stand
out in everyone’s mind for a very long time to come God willing.
It is a quick access to the airport,
towns, villages, hotels and restaurants and to get away from some heavy traffic
that would have normally kept you back in that part of the country. I
sometimes drive over the bridge myself and admire the architectural design,
which is beautifully done. In my humble opinion, the ideas, that
went into the realization of such a structure for the betterment of the Country
was a good one.
Most times I couldn't help but see and admire the many individuals and groups of people, who jog, walk or stroll on the pedestrian area, and the beautiful scenery it gives while driving over the bridge itself. matter of fact, just looking at it at nights with its beautiful colors of lights tells you there is something new and different that dotted part of our landscape in that part of the country.
I was so impressed by the construction of the bridge, that I
derived a Summer Camp, theme from that idea; "BRIDGING THE GAP". Yes
I feel that the bridge serves to bridge the gap between East and west, across the
water. Truly, I am impressed with this beautiful bridge and the purpose it
serves, that I decided to write something good about it. However, there are
many bridges that are located across the world but this one, have to come in
somewhere in the top ten (10), especially when it comes to: 1.Locality. 2.
Design. 3. Accessibility. 4. Usage and future durability. Perhaps,
someone will disagree with me, but they would have to first prove me
wrong.
However, the idea of the bridge is a
brilliant one for the country which is young and is a tourist
destination. It needed that ease from heavy traffic at certain times of
the day which flowed in that part of the country. Therefore, I commend all
those who thought of building the Bridge in the first place. I also commend all
those who saw to it being built to serve the people.
The bible tells us,
“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city
to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers,
you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7) NIV.
To God be all the glory!
