UNINTERRUPTED PEACE. WHERE CAN IT BE
FOUND?
1. It is said, “The Dove is usually
associated with peace and faith”.
2. Someone also said, “The dove universally symbolizes innocence, gentleness,
faith and marital affection”.
3. Another person said, “The Doves are a sign of
innocence, tenderness and affection. In art and in the scriptures, doves typically represent peace and the Holy
Ghost respectively”.
That brings to mind when I was a boy growing up we used to catch doves for selling to people who ate them, sometimes we just kept them in cage, feed and took care of them, and had fun having them around as our own.
However, one
day I climbed up into a tree to catch a dove in its nest, I did catch it, but
when I realized that, In that nest were young chicks. That did something to me
then, because I felt that there were so many doves being caught by hand, bird
traps or killed by pellet guns etc., and then their little chicks were left alone not being care for. So, I released that dove to go back to its nest and from that day I
decided never to catch or hurt another Dove ever again unto this day. To God be
the glory!
I have
noticed as of late that the dove species is plentiful and are very friendly, so
I am now even feeding them on the front porch where I live. I am talking about
the brownish ones. However, an elderly friend of mine in another part of the
country feeds white doves which come on her porch every day looking for food.
The doves that
are around me, seem to be not afraid but keep displaying its beautiful
flights, landing, feeding and making nest even above the window pane where
there is enough secure and comfortable space available. I like that because
there is such a great sense of friendliness and peace whenever I observe them.
That puts me
in mind of the presence of the Holy Spirit within one’s life, which gives that
person that great sense of peace, with God the Father, God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit. It is said, “That heaven will be a place of uninterrupted peace”!
Smile and think!!!
God bless you!
